The award-winning Opia is a low-lit and intimate restaurant making it the perfect place to celebrate Valentine's Day. There will be a decadent romantic set dinner including Champagne with dessert on the 14th, priced at $898 per person. Open from 6pm–11pm, dinner will be accompanied by romantic music from DJ Ivan. Guest are welcomed with the signature amuse-bouche of oyster shooters, before entree choices of either crispy pigeon breast with green pea and ginger risotto, fried pigeon egg and broth, or blue fin tuna with ox heart tomato with radish balsamic syrup and crushed hazelnuts. A peach and Champagne sorbet cleanser introduces the main course options of either roasted yellow tail king fish with chermoula spices and saffron potatoes; barbequed Wagyu beef brisket with olive oil mash, numeko mushrooms and tarragon and chestnut salad; or seared baby crayfish with cannellonis of goat’s cheese and broad beans, crispy veal sweet breads and shaved black truffle.
With unrivalled views and low lighting, Pearl on the Peak is a sophisticated option for Valentine's Day. Incredibly, the menu includes a diamond gift pack of either a diamond pendant or diamond earrings, which arrive at your table along with the gastronomic five-course menu included in the price of $1,697 per person. The menu includes a glass of sparkling wine, a tomato and jelly salad, seafood broth, foie gras, langoustine and beef tenderloin or red emperor fish and a vanilla mascarpone heart served with coffee or tea.
The award-winning Harlan’s is renowned for its gourmet cuisine from entrepreneur-chef Harlan G, and its breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour. The restaurant will be serving a special five-course menu, designed personally by Harlan. The menu starts with an appetiser of smoked sturgeon, king crab and caviar in a soft-egg dressing. Wood-stone roasted sea scallops follow, served with Spanish ham and polenta in a white truffle sauce. Next on the menu is roasted foie gras with celeriac cannelloni and duck confit. A palate-cleansing champagne and lychee sorbet introduces a hearty main course of beef “three ways” – herb-roasted tenderloin, braised beef cheek with parsnip puree, and ox-tail lentils. Completing the menu is a dessert of warm chocolate pudding, passion fruit and honey mousse, and Italian melon sorbet. The menu is $1,180 per person.
A gourmet Valentine’s Day dinner priced at $880 per person will be served at Tuscany by H, the traditional Italian style restaurant in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. Chef Alberto’s gourmet five-course menu on February 14 is introduced with an appetiser of Kobe beef carpaccio with quail’s egg and black truffle dressing. A consomme of Italian wild mushroom cappellacci follows, then the pasta course of squid ink tagliolini with baby scampi, fava bean and fresh tomato. The main course is a choice between crispy sardinian sea bass, red bell pepper corns and green asparagus or pan-fried veal fillet with sweet potato puree and foie gras sauce.
With fantastic views of the harbour, a candle-lit dining room and delicious Italian food, H One is a classically romantic place to celebrate as a couple. The Valentine’s Day dinner is six courses priced at $1,088 per person. The gourmet menu kicks off with an appetiser of toro, followed by Maine lobster bisque with Mediterranean red prawn. The second course is a decadent black truffle pappardelle pasta with duck ragout and shaved foie gras, followed by a seafood speciality of the restaurant, wood-stone roasted sea bass with melted eggplant and slow-cooked tomato. The main course is charcoal-grilled prime beef fillet wrapped in smoked bacon, with crispy oyster and Bearnaise sauce. As a finale, dessert is the spectacular ‘Grand Valentine’s Surprise’ accompanied by Graffeo coffee or tea.
The hot new Japanese fine-dining restaurant from New York, is hosting a Valentine’s "his and hers" menu on February 14th. The six-course set dinner is presented in two specially tailored menus – one for men and one for ladies. While men sit down to Megu's signature Australian Wagyu sirloin steak ‘Kagerou Yaki’ served on a Hennessey flambee stone grill and blue-fin tuna carpaccio wasabi with truffle dressing, ladies dine on dainty delights like hirame carpaccio wasabi with orange sauce and grilled Boston lobster with green sauce. The six-course ‘Valentine’s Day Set Dinner’ is priced at $2,008 per couple, and don't worry ladies, if you don't like the sound of "dainty dining," you can opt for the man's choice - just let them know in advance!
