The latest establishment from the Concept Creations, Tapeo is a stylish new Spanish tapas bar and a wonderful addition to the wining and dining scene in Central. Diners looking for a relaxed dinner spot will appreciate the inviting casual chic ambience of Tapeo which replicates the most fashionable tapas bars across Spain for the first time in Hong Kong. This is accomplished by seating diners next to one another at the bar overlooking an open kitchen.
The main draw here is its authentic and fresh tapas. Head chef Aiden Harley Burn hails from leading Michelin-star restaurants in London and Ireland and his menu is based on traditional recipes with a modern twist. Great for sharing are the assorted tapas plates that offer everything from the infamous pedron peppers (which sees an extremely spicy one hidden amongst the milder flavours) and prawns plancha to the traditional tortilla.
Of course, no visit here is complete without ordering a fine Spanish tipple. In fact, why stop at one when Tapeo has an outstanding drinks menu comprising all Spanish wines, cava, beer, sherry and specialty cocktails.
