Although in the heart of the action situated at the top of Lan Kwai Fong, Tuscany by H is an intimate dining experience. Private dining for 10 is available at the Chef’s table.
Some of the best Italian food in Hong Kong with an excellent menu featuring classic homely Tuscan cuisine prepared from the freshest ingredients. Simple dishes showcase top-quality ingredients, such as the 16-month-aged ham starter complimented with juicy melon. Pastas can be served in half portions as starters or as a second course and the beef cheek ravioli is an imaginative, luxurious spin on an old favourite. Like the starters, the mains are fresh and simple with clever Italian flavoring and an emphasis on the underlying flavors of the base ingredients of meat and fish. The delicious veal chop is recommended by the chef and is a large tender breaded hunk of meat served on the bone with buttery sage mash to create a spectacular combination of flavors and textures. The delicately roasted barramundi is set off elegantly with crunchy zuchinni and a rustic tomato sauce. A great choice of cheese and deserts completes a near faultless performance.
A great wine list with an Italian bias. Some fine wine choices for the connoisseur and the usual Pinot Grigios and Gavi Gavis for everyone else.
Excellent attentive service. Staff are quick, accurate and knowledgeable about the menu but diners are not rushed even during busy periods.
A meal for two, without wine, came to $1,460, which is reasonable given the quality of the food but drinks came to $932.
