Want To Lift My Spirits!

Dear Editor,

The economic outlook is very gloomy these days and it has sent my moods spiraling down as well. I'm looking for watering holes where I can drown my sorrows so please show me the way. Thanks!?

Narendra

Dear Narendra,

You are not the only one in this situation. Head down to Lan Kwai Fong and you will find a lot of alternatives that is sure to perk you up. Located at the busy corner is Marlin, an open-spaced Martini bar, which is a perfect spot for conversations with friends or enjoy its range of Martinis that will leave you a little shaken.

But if you wish to get stirred, Schnurrbart and its masterfully brewed beers would be an excellent pick for you. Indulge in some German dice or card games like knobeln and challenge yourself to a round of shots with your group.

Or catch some action at Bulldog's Bar and Grill in Tsim Sha Tsui East with some sports on the plasma screens and projector systems for major sporting events. If that is not enough to get your mind off things, perhaps the resident live band might just do the trick.

Wherever it may be, let's do hope the economy picks up soon!
