Setting
Like its menu, Nobu’s décor combines elements of the West with hints of Japanese influence such as the stylish use of wooden details.

Food
Nobu is a great choice for those who enjoy fine dining that is out of the ordinary. Pairing fresh ingredients with innovative preparation techniques, most of the choices on the menu are contemporary takes on traditional Japanese favourites. A crisp bed of vegetables sits on top of slices of tuna sashimi in the sashimi salad. Dressed in tangy soy laced with grated radish, the dish is a refreshing starter. Rock shrimp tempura is served with two dips - a creamy one seasoned with spices, and a ponzu sauce. A sweet miso glaze coats a succulent piece of black cod and is grilled to a perfect tenderness in the black cod Saikyo Yaki. Also worth a try is the sashimi. Thin slices of scallops, salmon and other seafood are slightly seared and topped off with an oil and vinaigrette dressing. There is a wide selection of desserts - western favourites infused with Japanese flavours such as the vanilla Tamago créme with pineapple sake soup.

Wine
A good selection of wines from around the world, as well as a range of sake and shochubased cocktails.
