Setting:

Designed by the internationally acclaimed design firm Super Potato, whose projects include the Muji Yurakucho retail shop, Rossio boasts a distinctly contemporary Japanese aesthetic. Large, open spaces, lofty ceilings and the use of soothing blonde wood and natural stone offer a cool, Zen-like ambience.

Food:

If their Sunday lunch buffet is anything to go by, then Rossio's a la carte menu is sure to delight. Consisting of 10 stations, which include sushi and sashimi, seafood counter, beverage, pastries, cold selection, waffle, pasta and egg station, carving station, hot selection and a soup station, the choice of food is truly extensive. But it's not just about quantity here. The ingredients used are extremely fresh and perfectly done. The scallop sashimi is unbelievably sweet, as are the fresh oysters, Alaskan king crab legs and chilled lobster. Be sure to sample the cold cuts section, with their unique range of items, such as blood sausage and pata negra (the most luxurious type of Spanish ham), which has a melt-in-your-mouth smoked nutty flavour, offering the slightest hint of the food in which it feeds on in the Iberian Alps. Leave room for the super tender roast beef, which is perfectly done to medium rare, and pair that with the fresh mushrooms sautéed with a savoury mix of fresh thyme and pepper. For carb lovers, don't miss the Portuguese rice, which is full of flavour and done al dente. Finish off your meal as good as it started (which is with a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot champagne) with their amazing dessert station that boasts a decadent selection of super light Japanese style cheesecake and caramel flan, to name but a few. So, be sure to check out their regular a la carte menu, which
