The new star ferry terminal seemed the perfect place for a cool, Colonial style restaurant from the moment it opened so it’s no surprise that Watermark, the newest addition to the Igor Group (who own The Boathouse and Wildfire) opened earlier this month with a 270 degree view of the busy crossing.
With an elegant stone entrance, teak and marble decor and great views of the harbour, Watermark offers the rare opportunity to dine right by the water bang in the middle of Central. The menu is reminiscent of the wholesome but modern Continental food on offer at The Boathouse in Stanley with dishes such as scampi ceviche on toasted cornbread and a delicious oven-roasted lamb rack with white bean cassoulet and celery root. Watch this space for the restaurant review coming soon.
